VILNIUS, Lithuania, November 7, 2017 (PRESS RELEASE JET) – BitDegree announces that Dutch entrepreneur and founder of the Steve JobsSchool, Maurice de Hond, has joined the revolutionary blockchain-based education platform as an advisor ahead of its pre-ICO date, December 1st, 2017. The Steve JobsSchool has been previously nominated by Tech Insider as one of the most innovative schools in the world.
In addition to his work as an educational reformer, de Hond is a keen innovator with more than 50 years experience in the field of technology. He also has over 40 years of experience in polling and is one of the Netherlands’ most foremost opinion pollsters. de Hond is the founder of the Peil.nl polling site.
“I joined BitDegree because I was attracted to its team’s revolutionary approach to solving the problem of educational institutions failing to prepare students with the necessary applicable skills they need to succeed when they enter the world of work,” explained de Hond. “I believe BitDegree’s philosophy of rewarding students with tokens will encourage its students to find, and stick with, a course of study that is right for them.”
Regarding de Hond’s appointment, BitDegree CEO, Andrius Putna, commented: “BitDegree is thrilled to have Maurice on board as one of our advisors. His huge wealth of experience as an educational pioneer through his work at The Steve JobsSchool, plus decades of knowledge amassed from working with technology and polling will ensure that we achieve our goals of revolutionizing education.”
Other advisors include Electronic Arts co-founder, Jeff Burton, who joined the BitDegree due to its emphasis on gamified and reward-based learning.
BitDegree is a pioneering massive open online course provider, which will revolutionize education by offering blockchain-powered IT and tech courses. It was created by the founders of Hostinger and 000webhost, world’s largest free web hosting platform.
BitDegree is already proud to boast a user base of over 29 million customers, plus a fully functioning Minimum Viable Product, which is constantly being updated by its developers.
