Amazon says it is not done delivering excellent services to its customers. That is why it is making plans to add the Amazon Key feature to its service, which will allow entry into their clients’ homes whether they are around or not.
The essence is to minimize cases of theft. It has been discovered that many packages were stolen when left on the porch. Amazon believes this can stop if they send the package into their clients’ apartments.
According to what Amazon has is planning, there is no need for clients to worry as they will receive a video camera and a prompt notification when the workers are about entering the house.
Peter Larsen, the vice president of delivery technology for Amazon has this to say: “Amazon Key gives customers peace of mind knowing their orders have been safely delivered to their homes and are waiting for them when they walk through their doors.”
It is expected that this service will kick off on November 8 in Chicago and 36 other cities in the US. There will be a free service on November 8, but subsequently, only Prime members who pay $250 for the installation kit will benefit from it.
